How to make one's own Heishi?
Do you know the Heishi pearls ? They are disc-shaped beads ranging from 4 mm to 8 mm in general, their thickness can be variable ranging from 1mm to 2 mm, they can be made of gemstone in polymer manufactured industrially. We are going to create our Heishi pearls with polymer clay Fimo effect leather using a perforator. Follow our step by step to make you a Heishi bracelet.
Step 1
Prepare with 1 to 2 bars in each Fimo leather, hazelnut, rust and black bread a plate by passing each polymer paste in the finest dough machine of your Imperia . If you work on an Atlas machine you use the number 8 screen. Arrange your plates on your baking tray being careful not to enclose air between the tile and the dough, pass the roller .

2nd step
With a small piece of rust paste make a ball, pierce it with a needle, a spade. Extend the pearl into a cylinder by preforming it with your fingers so as not to enlarge the hole too much. Hold your spade at both ends to roll this bead onto a scaly patterned plate. Cook your pasta on plate and pearl at 130 degrees for 30 minutes. Tip that your bead is not deformed when cooked, it should be put in a small hollow container on a bed of baking soda during cooking.

Step 3
With your plates cool, you can now use your hole punch to create your Heishi using the most forward round, that is, the 8mm one. There are forty rust Heishi and black and sixty hazel color.

Step 4
Drill with a Dremel the center of your beads, the used forest must be greater than 1mm. You can also use a hand mandrel for drilling but it will be much more tedious.

Step 5
Group your Heishi by squeezing it between your thumb and forefinger on a needle to lightly varnish their sides to revive the color of the pasta. You must soak your brush in the varnish then remove the excess by scraping the brush on a surface so that there is no thickness on the edges of the beads. Immediately separate your beads on the needle and then place your needles on a baking rack for drying.

Step 6
Skate your tortoiseshell bead with a little brown acrylic paint, then wipe with a damp cloth so that the paint stays in the hollows only.

Step 7
Mount your bracelet by threading your Heishi symmetrically to the center bead on a 1mm diameter leather cord.

Step 8
Close your bracelet by passing both ends of leather thread into a stopper bead, you will need a needle to help you push the second thread into the bead. Leave enough length of thread to easily pass your wrist through the bracelet and then at the ends, knot and pinch a bead to crush right after.
