Cutters for Fimo, Cernit, and Sculpey Polymer Clay
A cookie cutter is the tool that transforms a sheet of clay into a piece ready for baking in a single step. Whether you’re creating earrings, pendants, flat beads, or miniature decorations, it ensures clean edges and identical shapes from one piece to the next. Our selection includes cutters suitable for polymer clay (Fimo, Cernit, Sculpey, Kato Polyclay, etc.) and self-hardening clay, ranging from mini sizes of 10 mm to large cutouts.

Shapes for all your projects
The shapes are categorized in the page filter so you can quickly find the one you need:
- Geometric shapes: circle, square, oval, teardrop, diamond, hexagon, triangle, arch… the essentials for modern earrings and minimalist jewelry.
- Flowers and nature: flowers, daisies, leaves, seashells, starfish, mushrooms—perfect for bohemian or rustic designs.
- Animals and characters: perfect for making playful charms, magnets, or decorations for kids.
- Seasonal themes: Christmas trees, snowflakes, and snowmen for Christmas; spiderwebs and ghosts for Halloween.
- Hollow shapes and frames: openwork hoops, hollow squares and triangles, rectangular frames—perfect for lightweight, graphic jewelry.
How do you use a polymer clay cutter?
It’s quick and easy! Here are our tips:
1) Set up a flat, stable work surface and use a modeling mat
2) Roll out and smooth the polymer clay you want to cut into using a rolling pin and/or a clay machine.
3) Placethe chosencookie cutter on the clay, then apply increasing pressure until the desired shape is cut out, cutting all the way through the entire thickness of the polymer clay.
Stainless steel or polymer: which material should you choose?
- Stainless steel cookie cutters: Durable, they feature a sharp edge that cuts cleanly, even through firm clay, and will last for years.
- Biodegradable polymer cookie cutters: Lightweight and economical, they offer more detailed shapes (embossed patterns, interior cutouts) that are difficult to achieve with metal. They are used cold, solely for cutting.
For truly professional-looking results, pair your cookie cutters with an acrylic rolling pin or a clay machine to achieve an even thickness, and add texture to your creations with our textured sheets and rollers. You can also find all our clay compounds, tools, and accessories in the Modeling & Polymer section.
Are these cookie cutters compatible with Fimo, Cernit, and Sculpey?
Yes, all of our cookie cutters can be used with commercially available polymer clays, regardless of the brand. They are also suitable for self-hardening clay and modeling clay.
How do you get a clean cut?
Work with a sheet of uniform thickness placed on a smooth surface (ceramic tile, glass, or countertop). Press down firmly and straight, then remove the cookie cutter without sliding it. Clay that has cooled slightly sticks less and produces cleaner edges.
How can I keep the clay from sticking to the cookie cutter?
You can place a thin sheet of plastic wrap over the clay before cutting it out: this will also give the edges a slightly rounded shape. A little cornstarch or water on the cookie cutter also helps with removing the cookies.
How do you clean and store your cookie cutters?
Remove any remaining clay with a wipe or cloth lightly dampened with alcohol, then dry the stainless steel molds thoroughly. Store them flat in a compartmentalized box to prevent the sharp edges from becoming bent.
