Fabric little flower

Here it is how to create a little and very nice flower with fabric.


Material and advice :
You need fabric, we used a square from the set of 20 fabric squares 13,5 cm Pink tones.
thread, we used C-Lon thread AA Rose.
A needle.
A pair of scissors.

Step 1 :
Place the fabric square flat, the back towards you.
Take a round object which will be also the pattern (with a diameter of about 30 mm) like a thread bobbin for example, or you can use the template & Ruler.
Position it on the fabric.

Step 2 :
Draw the circle signaling the inside of the pattern with a pen.

Step 3 :
Cut the circle with the scissors.

Step 4 :
Turn the printed part of the circle towards you.

Step 5 :
Fold it in two.

Step 6 :
Fold it once more.

Step 7 :
Prick the needle at the bottom of the petal.

Step 8 :
Let the thread like shown below.
It will serve to gather the petals together and to fix them.

Step 9 :
Make 6 petals more like the one you just have done and slip them on the thread.

Step 10 :
Sew together the two petals which are on the ends, to create the flower.

For a better relief, make a second flower identical as the one you just have done and sew them back to back.

Tutorial steps

Step 1

Lay the square of fabric flat, with the back of the fabric facing you.
Take a round object that can be used as a template (with a diameter of about 30 mm) such as a spool of thread for example, or you can use the Template & Sizing Ruler.
Position it on the fabric.

Step 2

Trace the circle by marking the inside of the template with a pencil.

Step 3

Cut out the circle with the scissors.

Step 4

Take the circle with the print towards you.

Step 5

Fold it in half.

Step 6

Fold it a second time.

Step 7

Prick the needle at the bottom of the petal.

Step 8

Leave the wire as shown below.
We will use it to gather and fix the petals together.

Step 9

Make 6 more petals like the one you just made and thread them onto the wire as you go.

Step 10

Sew together the two petals at the ends to form the flower.

Step 11

For even more relief, make a second flower identical to the one you just made and sew them back to back.
