Take some wool and form a ball.


Wool felting gives you great opportunities of creativity.
Many ways of wool felting exist: needle felting, soap felting,or washing machine felting .
We illustrate here an example of needle felting.
Material and advice:
Felting wool, in the example below we have used the Set of felting wool Merinos Red/Pink/Lilac.
A Felting foam block.
A Wooden handle for carding needles.
A Set of 3 carding needles.

Step 1:
Take some Lilac felting wool and shape a ball.

Step 2:
Put it on the foam block.
Poke several times the needle into the piece of carded wool to felt it.
Beware your fingers!

Step 3:
Take a piece of pink felting wool and shape a ball.

Step 4:
Put the pink ball next to the lilac and felt it.
Poke well the sides of the ball to get a round shape.
Step 5:
Shape a third ball with the red carded wool.

Step 6:
Position this one under the first ones.

Step 7:
Poke the felting wool with the needle.

Step 8:
Now the matting process is over.

You can sew this creation on a jacket pocket, as brooch, for example

Take some wool and form a ball.

Place the ball of wool on top of the foam jar. Stitch the wool with the needle many times to felting.
Be careful with your fingers when you stitch the wool.

Form a second ball with the pink wool.

Put the pink ball next to the purple one and stitch it with the needle.
To give it a nice round shape, stitch around the edges of the ball.
Turn the work over regularly and continue felting.

Form a third ball with the red wool.

Place this ball below the first two.

Felt the red ball with the needle.

That's it, the felting is finished.
