For creations designed for toddlers, be sure to choose beads that meet the EN 71-3 standard. Our beads in beechwood comply with the EN 71-3 standard, as they are saliva-resistant and pose no risk of toxicity, provided they are securely mounted.
If you're using raw wood, a thin coat of matt varnish or protective oil can be applied to protect the piece from perspiration and cosmetics (perfumes, lacquers). For parts already stained or varnished, a simple wipe-down with a dry cloth is all that's required.
