Before being seduced by the color, it's best to start with the manufacturing technique. Not all pink stones can be worked in the same way, and some formats are better suited to one use than another.
When designing jewelry for everyday wear, the strength of the stone is as important as its aesthetics. Among our pink stones, morganite (7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale) and pink tourmaline (7 to 7.5) are the strongest, perfect for rings or bracelets worn frequently. Rhodochrosite (3.5 to 4), on the other hand, is more fragile: it should be reserved for jewelry less exposed to shocks, such as necklaces or earrings.
Pink stones go particularly well with each other, but also with other color families:
In lithotherapy, pink stones are universally associated with the heart chakra (Anahata), the center of emotions, love and openness to others. Wearing pink gemstones is a gentle way to maintain a connection with your emotions.
Please note: our gemstones are not sold for lithotherapy. Natural stones are no substitute for medical expertise or treatment.
For jewelry worn every day, choose stones with a hardness above 7 on the Mohs scale. Morganite (7.5 to 8) and pink tourmaline (7 to 7.5) are the best candidates: they resist friction well and retain their brilliance over time.
