This Cernit Doll Biscuit polymer clay is ideal for sculpting faces, hands, and realistic details in your DIY jewelry and accessory projects.
Specially designed for sculpting skin tones, this clay from the Cernit Doll line has a natural bisque color, ideal for depicting fair, slightly rosy skin. Completely opaque after baking, it offers a matte, sturdy finish while remaining flexible once cooled. Its soft, malleable texture makes it easy to work on fine details such as facial features or the contours of hands.
How to use Cernit Doll clay?
This clay is particularly well-suited for creating polymer clay dolls, miniature faces, characters, or baked resin babies. It can also be used to make figurative pendants or cabochons featuring characters for your DIY jewelry. You can mix it with other shades from the Doll line to achieve darker or lighter skin tones, or incorporate glitter and alcohol-based inks before baking to customize the look. It is also suitable for molding and texturing using texture plates or wooden rollers, and can be combined with beads, stones, or feathers.
Firing is done in a preheated electric kiln at 110°C to 130°C for up to 30 minutes. It does not crack during firing and can then be sanded or painted to refine the finish. For storage, it is recommended to wrap it in wax paper and then place it in an airtight container, away from heat and PVC.
