The 4120 has a relatively flat back, designed to be set or glued to a support. The 4122, on the other hand, has a point on the reverse, giving it a more pronounced volume effect. The choice depends above all on the type of frame used.

14x10 mm is often the ideal starting point: clearly visible, without weighing the jewel down. For something more subtle, the 8x6 mm works very well. And for a more assertive aesthetic, the 18x13 mm works well.
