Yes, epoxy resin is renowned for its strength. Once hardened, it becomes rigid and resists light impact. It's a perfect material for everyday jewelry, provided you take good care of it (avoid hot water, solvents or excessive rubbing).

Epoxy resin hardens with a chemical mixture (resin + hardener), while UV resin hardens under a UV lamp. In the manufacture of finished components, epoxy is preferred for its strength and gloss. Jewelry made from epoxy resin generally resists moisture well, but as with all jewelry, it's advisable to remove it for showering, bathing or hand-washing to preserve its shine and durability over the long term.

If you still wish to keep your resin jewelry on when you go underwater, be careful of the metal with which the epoxy component is associated. Choose mounts made from 316L stainless steel.
