It is a metal with a gold plating of between 14 and 18 carats.

How to care for your gold-plated primers

Gold plating keeps its shine for a long time with simple care. Clean your creations regularly with a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid contact with perfumes, excessive perspiration and chemicals. Store your jewelry flat, away from moisture.

Can you shower with gold-plated jewelry?

No, it's not advisable to shower with gold plating. Water, soap and humidity accelerate the oxidation of the plating. Remove your jewelry before showering, sports, swimming or any activity involving water.

Is there an obligatory hallmark on gold plating?

There is no guarantee hallmark for gold plating, but French legislation requires a plating thickness of 3 microns of gold to qualify as gold plated.
