Gold plating is metal covered with a gold plating (between 14 and 18 carats). Our 3-micron gold-plated products are based on precious metal (925 Sterling Silver) or non-precious metal (brass). Note that vermeil jewelry is 5-micron gold-plated 925 Sterling Silver.
