Round Black Onyx beads with a frosted effect. They are ideal for the creation of unique and original DIY costume jewellery.
These beads have been frosted, either with sand or with an abrasive product to give them this look.
Black onyx stone is not originally black. It is treated by being immersed in a solution of black sugar and acid. The soft, porous nature of the stone allows the solution to soak in. After immersion, the stone is then heated. This is a common process that makes the colour deeper and longer lasting.
Please note that each stone is unique and can present important differences with the photo.
