A touch of vintage, a touch of naturalness and a dose of elegance, these are the components of this new pair of earrings that can be made in two different ways according to your preferences. You can either follow this tutorial and the explanatory diagrams to weave the beads on the primer with the technique brick stitch or brick stitch, or you can take inspiration from these tutorials to fix the beads with a metallic wire :

The earring used is made of brass gilded with fine gold and the rectangle is made of rough brass. If you wish to use more precious materials, please note that this rectangle exists in the form of clou d'oreilles plaqué or with the same dimensions as the rectangle in this tutorial. To give you the choice it has been added to the material list at the bottom of the page. If you take the gold-plated rectangle ear studs you will not be able to add the round grooved ear studs to your creation. Add to your cart the version you prefer.
Cut 70 cm of thread and pass it through a needle. Make a double knot on the rectangle 15 cm from the end of the thread. You will need this 15 cm to hang another bead at the end of the tutorial. Thread two turquoise beads and place them against the bar inside the rectangle. Thread the needle with the thread around the bar and back into the hole of the second bead. Tighten.
Thread a third bead and place it next to the second one. Thread the thread around the bar again and back into the hole of the third bead.
Continue to weave the beads one by one by repeating step 2. There are 15 beads on each side and one bead at the bottom.
Once you have woven the first fifteen beads, weave a single bead on the bottom before continuing on the other side of the rectangle.
Finish by weaving a pearl delicas on top. Tie your thread with a double knot, hide it in the bead and cut it. Thread the remaining thread onto the needle and repeat the operation. Make sure that the threads of the two delicas do not cross each other. This step with the delicas will center the earring and prevent it from moving.
If you have chosen the gold-plated rectangle ear studs version, do not weave delicas. Simply add a single turquoise pearl as below, then tie your thread with a double knot, hide it in the pearl and cut it.
Open the ring of the ear pin with two pliers and slide the rectangle into it. The earring of the ear nail must be passed between the two delicas. Then close the ring carefully.
