Why choose the 1088 bezel in 3mm?

Compatible techniques and materials
This Swarovski cabochon lends itself to many creative techniques:
- Creation of rings, buckles or pendants : claw-set with suitable metal or 925 silver mountings, or glued into pointed-bottom settings.
- Bead weaving: integrated into Peyote, RAW or other techniques.
- Poutache jewelry: wrap a braid around a cabochon for a sparkling textile jewel effect.
Practical advice on how to use them
First of all, check the compatibility of your backing: a 3 mm crimp is different from a 4 mm crimp. Use suitable crimping pliers to bend the prongs without scratching the crystal. For glue, opt for a glue such as Hasulith, which is perfectly compatible.
Foiled or Unfoiled: what's the difference?
This is often the first question asked by beginners.
- Foiled: the back of the crystal is covered with a metallic film that amplifies light reflection. Preferred for closed or opaque surfaces.
- Unfoiled: transparent on both sides, ideal when light can pass through the crystal, perfect for embroidery techniques or openwork settings.
