Practical advice on how to use them

First of all, check the compatibility of your backing: a 3 mm crimp is different from a 4 mm crimp. Use suitable crimping pliers to bend the prongs without scratching the crystal. For glue, opt for a glue such as Hasulith, which is perfectly compatible.
