How to weave a Miyuki bracelet on a loom?
This Miyuki bracelet is perfect for beginners who want to learn how to weave beads on a loom. This tutorial presents the main steps to achieve it but for more detailed information on the use of the loom and the son and tips that you can use, go to our technical sheet " How to use a beading job" for weaving pearls? ".
The loom proposed in this tutorial is a basic low price, if you want a more efficient loom, go to our video on looms or in our category Looms .
Step 1 :
Mount 5 threads on the loom. Here we used Miyuki yarn but you can use other yarns . If you are using the photo loom, tilt the log nail where you tied the first wire horizontally and the other almost vertically. This saves a few centimeters in length on the loom to make longer bracelets. Take the thread on the spool and pull it to a length equal to the amplitude of your arms. Once folded in half in the needle this length allows to have a good ease of weaving.

2nd step :
Tie with a double knot the end of the thread to one of the warp threads leaving at least 15 cm of thread end to tuck the thread into the weave later. Thread the first 4 beads of the weaving according to the diagram. Pass the thread with the needle under the warp threads. With your finger, place each bead between 2 threads. Iron the needle into the set of beads being careful to pass the needle over the string threads otherwise your bead will not be properly attached to the weave.

Step 3:
Thread the next 4 beads, pass the needle under the warp threads and place the beads between 2 threads again. Iron in the beads with the needle over the warp threads. Continue to weave following the pattern. Once at the end of the loom, de-be the two logs of wood and turn them between 45 ° and 90 ° in the same direction to increase the length of the bracelet.

Step 4:
Finish your bracelet. It must be the size of your wrist. The clasp will add 2 cm of amplitude to this dimension so that it is easier to put on and more comfortable to wear. Remove the yarns from the loom, taking care not to undo your weaving. Cut the loops to have several simple threads to enter.

Step 5:
Tuck the threads into the weave one by one with the needle through the woven beads. The goal is to go through the beads several times to block the thread. Stop in the middle of the weave and cut the remaining thread. You can possibly put a small dot of glue with a brush on the sides so that the threads do not break afterwards. Do not enter the weft thread on both sides of the bracelet it will serve you to hang the clasp.
Step 6:
Thread the weft thread back onto the needle and go behind the inside bars of the clasp and then back to the last row on the other side. Take a second turn, then if possible a third. Block the thread in the weave and cut it, then repeat this step with the other end of the thread on the other side of the bracelet.
