What to do with bridge earrings?
These little golden bridge ear rings can be customized in a multitude of ways. In this tutorial, we'll add small black faceted pearls and a Dalmatian jasper bead. These pearls, threaded onto a wire, will be connected on either side of the earring to form an inverted bridge. The technique is very easy and requires no jewelry pliers or special tools. However, a fine weaving needle will make it easier to thread the wire through the beads. Choose a fine, supple thread. Here, we've chosen Miyuki weaving wire, whose color will blend in well with the gold of the earrings.
These slightly organic hammered stud earrings, combined with black glass beads and a mottled natural stone bead, lend a rustic yet modern style. They'll work well with a Boho-style outfit in black and cream tones, or a simple white or black T-shirt. These summery earrings will enhance any basic outfit. Prefer color? The pearls used are available in many other colors. You can also replace Dalmatian jasper with other natural stones such as African jasper, amazonite, rose quartz and many others. You'll find more options in the variation section of the equipment list.
Please note that these earrings may look very large in photos, but they are actually very discreet and lightweight. With pearls, the earrings are 2.8 cm high. To see for yourself, place a ruler in front of your ear in front of a mirror.
You'll be left with 18 Dalmatian jasper beads, 34 3 mm faceted beads and 6 3 mm gold beads, making a total of 19.2 cm of beads. You can now make a thin bracelet with the remaining beads. In this video tutorial, you'll find two models of fine bracelets that you can use as inspiration to make your own Dalmatian jasper and black bohemian faceted bracelet: Fine African turquoise bracelets.
