Resin and dried flower link earrings

How to make resin links?

Want to get started with resin to create trendy DIY creations? This tutorial is for you! Discover how to make a pair of earrings using a mix of materials: resin and acrylic. With detailed explanations, you'll learn how to use Padico Star Drop UV Led resin to create oval links. Add dried flowers for a springtime touch and leave to dry. Once dry, simply clip them into the acrylic links and add the ear stud. Your pair of earrings is now complete.

If you're a beginner and haven't yet mastered this technique, we've put together a number of data sheets to help you learn more about resin. And if you'd like to try your hand at other projects, we have several resin tutorials on the site. And for the more expert among you, you can even learn how to mix techniques, as in the polymer and resin earrings tutorial.

Warning: UV LED resin also hardens under sunlight. To prevent your resin from hardening while you're spreading it in the mold, make your jewelry in the shade. Wear gloves and ventilate the room.

NB: This tutorial was produced by Tiffanie for Atelier Déco & Créations n°60 magazine. Inside the magazine, you'll find other creative ideas for all occasions.

Apply a final coat to completely cover the flowers and create a smooth surface. Run under the lamp again for 2 minutes. Unmold, turn the pendant upside down and run it under the lamp again for 1 minute to solidify the resin under the flowers. Make the second pendant.
