This year, the trend is pearly beads! Chic and elegant, they are ideal to wear as necklace, earrings or bracelet. So we chose to put them in the spotlight this month, in our collection of DIY pearl jewelry Rendezvous. You'll find pretty and elegant vintage jewelry with pearly colors. Would you like to make a necklace with white pearls? Combined with pretty gold beads and an elegant crystal heart, you'll have something to accessorize your outfit in a chic and refined way.
In this tutorial, we explain step by step how to make this vintage pearl necklace. Customizable with pretty imitation mother of pearl beads and crystals of different colors or shapes, it will be perfect for beginners in jewelry making. I opted here for PureCrystal pearls, small gold-plated beads and a beautiful Aurora heart crystal. The pendant and gold beads will add a touch of whimsy to a simple white pearl necklace. If you are tempted to personalize this necklace even more, you can opt for PureCrystal pearl beads in colors like Rosaline or Light Blue. Feel free to change the color of the Aurora crystal heart pendant or the shape.
Suitable for beginners, this tutorial will allow you to create in 15 minutes a necklace for yourself or to offer. And if you are new to jewelry making, don't hesitate to visit our Learn section. Cut approximately 40 cm of wire. Thread one end through a wire guard. Then slip a squeeze bead through both wires and squeeze it with a pair of flat pliers. Cut off the shorter end.

Then slip 15 pearly beads onto the wire.

Then slide 15 pearly beads onto the wire. Then alternate 11 gold beads with 10 white beads

Thread the Aurora crystal heart and repeat the previous steps in reverse: alternate 11 gold beads with 10 pearl beads and then slide 15 pearl beads onto the wired thread.

Insert a squeeze bead and a wire guard. Pass the wire back through the bead and crush it. Then cut off the end of the wire that is sticking out.

With a ring, attach a lobster clasp and extension chain to the ends. Close the rings and your elegant necklace is complete.
