How to make a message necklace with a lettering pendant?

How to make a message necklace with lettering pendant?

Create your own necklace with gold thread to form a word or name. It is a DIY which requires a little precision and concentration but which is within the reach of beginners. To help you, we have created an alphabet for DIY lettering that you can print and copy to form your word in brass, gold filled or 925 silver wire.

Do you like this tutorial but would you prefer to make a bracelet? Find our DIY summer bracelet in gold filled wire with the word "sun" by clicking on the link.

Do you want to create a personalized word jewelry but not want to form the letters yourself? Discover our letter beads ready to put on!

Step 1 :
Write the word "Freedom" in cursive on a paper to serve as a template.

lettering step 1 write the word to form on the paper

2nd step :
Use the round pliers to form the letters. Place the wire in the pliers and with your finger form the starting loop by rotating the wire around the end of the pliers.

lettering step 2 make the little loops to make the beginning of the word prettier

Step 3:
Use the different diameters of the round-nose pliers to form perfect curves. Regularly place your creation on the template to check the proportions. You can make marks on the wire with a pencil.

lettering step 3 form the thread following your template

Step 4:
Pass the loop of "r" in front to have the illusion of a line when looking at the word in front.

lettering step 4 overlay the wire

Step 5:
As with the ?r?, form the accent of the ?é? by going back and forth with the thread. For convenience, you can simply make an "e" without an accent.

lettering step 5 make an accent on the e with thread

Step 6:
Connect the chain to the pendant with a ring placed on the ?l? and another in the accent of the ?é? or in the ?e?. Cut the chain in half and add the clasp.

lettering step 6 connect the chain to the word in wire
