Step 1:
First, get your drop earring holders (30 x 60 mm) and gemstones of various sizes. For each earring, you'll need :
Step 2:
Open the earring and string the beads from smallest to largest until you reach the 12 mm bead, then string from largest bead to smallest so that it's symmetrical and gives the effect of a drop. Close the earring. Using round-nose pliers, press the clasp tightly to prevent the wire from falling out. As the beads are heavy, there's a risk of the wire falling back, so we suggest you put a dot of glue on top to secure the earring.
Step 3:
Take your one-meter semi-hard 0.3 mm Gold Filled wire and start wrapping around the top of the earring (this will also make it easier to hide the glue dot). This creates a golden triangle above the beads. Continue turning with the same thread from top to bottom around the beads to create this effect and allow several golden lines to appear on the bead. Don't forget to secure your wire by making a turn between each bead. A 1-meter wire is usually sufficient for a single loop.
Once you've reached the end of your earring, cut the wire if it's too long. Tuck the protruding end inside the triangle with round pliers and add a dot of glue to secure your creation.
Step 4:
Attach an open 0.6mm ring to your stud earring using round pliers. Insert your earring into the ring, positioning it so that the side with the gold threads is the most prominent. Close again.
Step 5:
Put a dot of glue on your ear stud and place your cabochon on top.
Tadamm! Your earrings are finally ready. We loved creating this feminine piece of jewelry, didn't you? Now you can strut proudly in your earrings ?
