Weave Châtaigne using the diagram and color palette above.

We’re truly in love with our cats—so why not put them in the spotlight? Marine, aka @hellocestmarine, shares the pattern for her second cat, Châtaigne, a little tabby. Hello c’est Marine offers other beading patterns, including her other cat, Shangaï, made with Delicas.
Not into cats? Marine has other animals for you to weave! And since we’re nice, we’re sharing all our beading patterns with you. Mix up the colors, have fun, and customize your furry friend however you like. There are two peyote weaving techniques: even-count and odd-count peyote, which are distinguished by the number of beads across the width of the pattern. “Châtaigne” is made using odd-count peyote; you can check out our guide dedicated to this technique.
Just starting out? Don’t worry—the “Quick Start Peyote” technique will help you, and it’s all explained in a video. Alternatively, you can weave this pattern using the brick stitch technique—it’s totally possible! Tip: Use a beading mat to keep your beads from scattering (take it from a pro).
Thank you, Marine, for sharing these patterns.
We love seeing your creations, so feel free to send us photos on our Facebook page or tag us on Instagram with #Perlesandco!

Tuck all the wires into the beads to hide them. Tadam! Your weaving is done!
Glue it to your fridge as a magnet, or as a pin holder, stiffening it with water-based Fimo satin matte varnish.
