Author's notes: This Miyuki 3D star pattern is from the Miyuki La Bohème weaving kit. This limited edition kit contains all the tools, beads and instructions to make 3 pieces of jewelry and this star for only 36 euros. You will only need to add a set of jewelry pliers if you don't have any, and a small piece of fabric to stuff the star. Find this Miyuki bead kit in the list of materials at the bottom of this page.
This weaving kit focuses on the different variations of Peyote weaving. The projects range from simple to complicated, with this star being the ultimate project in the kit.
As we know that there are 3D stars and beaded baubles enthusiasts among you, we have decided to leave this pattern freely available so that you can all take advantage of it to prepare your Christmas tree decoration in time! We start by creating a loop with beads. In this project, we make a loop of 4 beads. We then add 1 or 2 beads between each bead added in the first round, while following the pattern. Spaces are created between the beads. We come to fill them with the beads of the next row. The principle is the same as the classic Peyote, except that we weave in the round. We do not go back and forth, but spirals.
The star is composed of 5 pieces represented by the dotted lines. These 5 pieces form both the front and back of the star. They are squares that are not flat and that we will assemble at the end to form the star.
