Tutorial steps

Step 1
Leather Wrap Bracelet Tuto 5 turns with a Cauri shell and Miyuki beads : Step 1

Thread the cord through the cauri shell, place it in the middle and tie a knot.

Step 2

Take about 1.5m of fireline, fold it in half to double the strength of the thread. Then pass it over the top cord as it falls down.

Step 3

Thread a first bead, wedge it between the 2 cords, then take the rest of the thread and pass it under the bottom cord.

Step 4

Go over the bottom cord and pull the thread through the bead.

Step 5

Pass the thread under the top bead and then repeat the same threading technique for all the other beads, avoiding tightening the thread too much and making sure to keep a nice evenness. If the bead twists during beading, adjust it as you go along and straighten it out.

Step 6
Leather Wrap Bracelet Tuto 5 turns with a Cauri shell and Miyuki beads : Step 6

On this model, we started with: the Shiny round beads, the mini-hematites and the opaque white round beads. Then we continued with the weaving of Miyuki beads. You have to insert the Miyuki beads and then place them as close as possible to the beads previously inserted. To do this, use your thumb to get a perfect alignment. Follow this weaving grid.

Step 7

Once your Miyuki bead weaving is finished, continue with the Gold Stone gemstones called "Sunstone". String these beads two by two. And finally, insert Miyuki 11/0 matte glazed banana beads.

Step 8

Make a knot with the leather cord, then another one a little further, leaving enough length to pass the cauri shell.

Bonjour Monique,
