Start by cutting a piece of wire a little longer than your wrist. Relax it by stretching it on both sides, this will prevent it from breaking or loosening over time.

Got 20 minutes to spare? Perfect! That's just the time you need to make an assortment of beaded bracelets for summer. Very easy to make, this women's bead bracelet tutorial is accessible to beginners and novices alike. In just 3 steps, you'll be able to make adorable costume jewelry that won't leave your side for the whole summer season!
To make this DIY bracelet, we used an elastic thread that we fastened with a surgeon's knot. The advantage of this thread is that it allows you to slip your creations onto your wrist in a flash. You'll be able to put them on and take them off as often as you like, depending on your outfit for the day or your activities.
Elastic bracelets are the easiest to make when you're new to DIY costume jewelry. If you'd like to practise, take a look at our tips in our beginner's jewelry course.
We also used Miyuki Seed beads 8/0 Touch of teal. This pretty shade of blue recalls the sea, the beach, vacations in the sun... But you can personalize your DIY bracelets with other colors, guided by your own tastes and desires. Visit our section to discover other shades of Seed beads.
To accentuate the seaside vacation spirit of these bracelets, we've added little fish-shaped beads, which match our seed beads perfectly.
Do you know how many beads you'll need to make a bracelet to fit your wrist? Just measure the circumference of your wrist and refer to our chart to find out how many Seed beads you'll need to make your summer bracelets.
