Attach the copper wire to the creole.
Discover how to make creole earrings with coiled seed beads, a must-have fashion accessory that adds a touch of color and originality to any outfit. This tutorial guides you through the creation of personalized creoles using seed beads, such as Rocailles Miyuki 11/0 and Rocailles Preciosa 11/0. With colors ranging from pale yellow and violet to turquoise and mauve, as well as a version mixing cream and topaz pearls, you have the freedom to design earrings that reflect your personal style.
The use of a pearl mill is not compulsory, but will save you a lot of time. In fact, a bead mill allows you to string beads more quickly than one by one by hand. This tutorial is designed to be quick and easy, enabling you to create elegant earrings in just 20 minutes using the bead mill. The technique of winding pearls around creoles doesn't require advanced jewelry-making skills. It simply requires a little dexterity and concentration to wind the pearls without leaving the wire visible over too large an area. It's a beading tutorial accessible to beginners with a taste for DIY and precision work.
With hundreds of colors of seed beads available from our different seed bead brands, it's easy to customize your creoles to match a particular outfit. Whether you prefer soft hues or bright colors, the possibilities for personalization are endless. You can also add a charm to your creoles, as in the second version shown in the video. Remember to check that the charm ring passes through the creole, and start winding on the side of the creole that doesn't open.
The first version of the blue and turquoise creoles is made with Miyuki seed beads MR11/536, MR11/417L and MR11/412F. Change the bead proportions in the bead mill to obtain more turquoise or more blue creoles. The second version shown is made of Préciosa seed beads: ROC-704, ROC-781, ROC-432 and a few topaz ROC-077 pearls.
The bead mill can be used to make lots of other creations. If you buy the large eye bead mill needles listed in the variation section of the equipment list, you can then thread the beads directly from the mill onto the elastic thread. You can thus create elastic bracelets with your leftover beads, or necklaces. You can also use turtle fishing line to add a clasp to your bracelet.
