Want to start creating in Fimo clay? Discover in this tutorial how to create your pair of fancy earrings in the form of half daisies plated. Nothing more simple, this jewelry to do yourself is made in polymer clay Fimo with only two colors, white and yellow. You will have only six steps to follow in this tutorial to get your flowers. Once you have made your first steps in polymer and you are comfortable with the technique you can launch into the realization of other types of flowers by adapting the shape and color of petals. You don't have to keep the original colors of the flowers, so for more fantasy, opt for different colors. Find all the colors of Fimo paste available on our site.
In this tutorial you will master several key points to get started in polymer:
- mix together the pastes to obtain a new color
- make a regular plate with a roller or a machine to pâte
- cut shapes with a cutter or cookie cutter
- create a texture on Fimo paste
- bake your dough
Finally, you finish by mounting your creation on a support. Here it is a pair of earrings glued on disc ear studs. You can also consider making a ring, a bracelet or a pendant with our metal accessories. It's up to you!
NB: Be careful, the fineness of the petals implies a particular delicacy when you handle this jewel. Be sure to store it in a jewelry box or case.
Take a bar of white dough and the same amount of yellow and white. Mix the white and yellow to obtain a homogeneous color lighter than pure yellow.
Pass the white bar in the dough machine to the notch number 3 of the Imperia then the yellow to the notch 4 which is a little thicker. Cut with a cutter forms of petals in the white plate, you need 16 in all.
Arrange your petals in a half round shape as shown in the photo, 8 on each side. Press strongly in the center of the point where they meet to weld the pasta.
With a round cookie cutter, remove a piece from the yellow plate and cut it into two pieces. Place each one on the point where the petals meet, press firmly.
