Tips from the designer
To start, you must think of using circular needles which are very useful for this type of knitting which will grow more and more over the rows. Circular needles also allow you to get an idea of the size of the trendy that you can extend along the cable. It's perfect for knowing when to stop!
In this tutorial, we will work the wool in duplicate, that is to say that we will knit two strands of wool simultaneously.
The work will be done only in garter stitch (stitches right side).
To make a trendy shawl, you need to know how to make a raise. If you do not know how to do it, no worries, you will find all the explanations in this tutorial.
STEP 1
Start by fitting 3 stitches on the needle.
Then knit the first two stitches and increase. Knit the last stitch.
At each row, we will increase after knitting the first two stitches and then we will finish the row.
To make an increase, follow the detailed instructions with the photos below:
1 / Stitch in the loop which is at the base of the third stitch in the row.
2 / Take up this loop and place it on the left needle
3 / Then knit it like a normal stitch.
4 / We get a nice increase guaranteed zero hole !!
2ND STEP
Continue row after row until the trendy reaches the length that suits you.
For a woman model, count a height of 90 cm.
STEP 3
Then cast off all sts.
Do not cut the wires at the tips. They will be used to sew the pompoms.
STEP 4
Take a wool needle and sew the pompoms at each corner of the trendy.
Your shawl is finished, you just have to wear it around your neck and curl up while waiting for winter!
