DIY knit - Wool Gilet Rico Fashion Glitz

Who says winter, said want to warm up in a sweater doudou! We want warmth and sweetness to withstand the cold of winter. Well we have the perfect tutorial with this vest made with the Fashion Glitz wool . It is a very soft wool because it is composed of 82% mohair and 16% wool.

Dimensions:

Step 1 :
Let's start with the body of the vest , knit the back and the front together. Cast on 186 sts, knit 6 rows in rib 2/2. Place 2 marker rings: 45 stitches, one ring, 96 stitches, a second ring and then 45 stitches again. Continue in stocking st up to 36 cm. Separate the back and the front.

2nd step :
Let's go to the right front , knit in stocking up to 10 cm high. Start the neckline as follows: the decreases are always on the rows places and on the outside. Cast off 5 sts (remain 40 sts), cast off 3 sts (remain 37 sts), cast off 2 sts (remain 35 sts), cast off 2 sts (remain 33 sts), cast off 1 sts (remain 32 sts), cast off 1 sts (left over) stitches), bind off 1 sts (remain 30 sts), bind off 1 sts (remain 29 sts). Fold down the remaining 29 stitches.

Step 3:
Proceed symmetrically for the left front.

Step 4:
For the back knit in stockinette up to 10 cm and fold down the 96 stitches.

Step 5:
For the sleeves , perform twice this step: Rise 58 stitches, make a decrease (knit 2 stitches together 1 stitch edge) at the beginning and at the end of the row every 10 rows. Repeat 9 times. Knit 5 rows rib 2/2 and bind off.

Step 6:
Let ' s go now to the assembly : sew the sleeves lengthwise, sew the top of the shoulders, assemble the sleeves to the body of the vest.

Step 7:
For the neckband :
On the right side, measure 142 sts (87 sts on the front + 55 on half the neck). Make 5 rows of 2/2 ribs. Fold the stitches.

On the left side, pick up 142 sts (87 sts on the front + 55 on half the neck). Make 2 rows of ribs 2/2. On row 3 make holes for buttons: from the bottom, knit 3mm, cast off 1 piece, knit 19mm, cast off 1 piece, knit 19mm, cast off 1 piece, knit 19mm, cast off 1 piece, knit 19mm, cast off 1 piece and knit 3c. On row 4, always in rib 2/2, cast off the sts in the rounded sts on round 3. Knit row 5 in rib 2/2 and bind off.
