
Haven't you heard of Panpastels yet? This medium is part of the pastel family, but a binder is added to its composition to make it stronger and more resistant. In the form of cups similar to a make-up palette, they are used with applicators with foam tips to ensure that the colors blend well together. You can, of course, use them with your fingers if you feel like it.
The technique used for this earring tutorial is that of stencils, and more specifically silkscreens, which render very fine, detailed results on polymer clay.
