How to make Fimo clay earrings?

How to make polymer clay earrings?

It's especially fun to create FIMO paste earrings - there are so many shapes! Choose shapes, colors and patterns that exactly match your tastes and wishes.

Promised it is not complicated and totally accessible to beginners! You will need some simple tips to realize in a jiffy a new jewel. Attention, it makes you addicted!

We love the bright colors that remind us of the beautiful days, but our little finger tells us that with the trend colors this season it will be completely hot.

Step 1 : Spread the FIMO paste of the main color on a clean ceramic support. The dough plate should not be too thin or too thick. It should have a thickness of about 1.5 to 2 mm. It's up to you if you want to use a single color or combine several colors.

Step 2 : Now create your colorful pattern: to get an abstract look (as in the picture), take pieces of different sizes of the second color. Of course, you can also shape shapes in advance or cut them out with a punch.

Place the pieces on the main color and flatten them with the acrylic roller until the surface is smooth.

Step 3: Cut out your earrings and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make the FIMO paste in the oven at 110 ° C for 30 minutes and let it cool.

Step 4 : Lay the FIMO paste shapes next to each other to compose your earrings as you wish. Drill holes to join the elements using a chignole for example. They should not be too close to the edge - not too far from the center so that the split ring passes.

Step 5 : Connect the different elements with an open ring, hold it with the clip and gently fold it with the other hand to close it. Glue the ear studs to the back of the FIMO curls and let them dry overnight.
