3 ways to create your mold for polymer clay
How to create your own polymer pasta mold from a shell or some other object?
We offer 3 different materials to make your molds: polymer clay, Siligum and Oyumaru. Each subject has its specificity.
1 the polymer clay
Take a little dough, knead it so that it is soft, make a smooth ball and then push over the object you want to mold. Leave the object inside the dough while baking the polymer clay at 120 degrees for 30 min. Unwind your object as long as the polymer mold is still hot, wait for it to cool down before using it with talc. Do not anneal the polymer clay in the polymer mold it is better to leave it before so that your creation does not remain stuck in the mold.

2 The siligum
It is a mixture of 2 components that must be mixed in the same proportion of quantity. Mold your shell as long as the siligum is soft, it stiffens after 10 min, you can then unmold the object and use the mold to make copies of forms. The siligum goes into the oven at 130 degrees without any problem so you can directly cook your polymer clay in this mold. This mold remains flexible you can use talc if you need it. This mold can also be used for the use of the epoxy resin but not the UV resin.

3 The oyumaru
It comes in the form of rigid rods. You must soak them for a few minutes in boiling water to soften and melt them. Create your mold as oyumaru is soft, it stiffens quickly. This material can not be baked because it will melt. You can use talc to unmold creations made from this mold. The most of this material is that it is reusable to infinity your old mold can be plunged into boiling water to get a new mold.
