Creative interview with Puca

Do you know the French designer Puca?

Puca, a famous blogger, is known and recognized for her jewelry creations in the pure tradition of French elegance and Parisian chic, but also for the creation of numerous glass beads. Find out more about this designer, who was kind enough to answer a few of our questions.

How did you discover your passion for beads?

• When I was a little girl, I used to bead like all little girls, and this passion has never left me! Later, I'd buy patterns, but I'd always transform them... So, little by little, I decided to make my own creations. I've been beading for 15 years now.

What do you love most about your job?

• What I love is creating, sharing, enjoying, appreciating beadworkers and seeing my own creations made by friends and beadworkers.

What's your favorite accessory?

• I prefer the little thing that enhances my creation. So I'd say a clasp or a spacer.

What are your best and worst beading memories?

• Only good memories... I automatically eliminate the bad ones! If I had to remember anything, it would be appearing in magazines. In fact, being contacted by the biggest magazines is a great reward for my work, which is my passion!

What advice would you give to beginners who are scared when they see your pattern?

• For beginners... I always say to redo your work. It's important, because when it's well done, it's a great source of satisfaction.

If you were a bead?

• Definitely mine! But I can't choose between the 4!

If you were a coating?

• I like to combine them with gloss to give a magical, chic feel.

If you were a PureCrystal component?

• PureCrystal has some really good beads. I'm particularly fond of bicones and Mesh. Rivolis are my favorite!

And a bonus question: would you recommend Perles & Co? Why or why not?

• Would I recommend Perles and Co? Yes, I would! It's an ultra-complete site, you've got all the latest novelties! In fact, I can't wait to see them on my computer! And I'd also like to say that customer service is very responsive: questions are always answered within the hour!
