Fast Peyote weaving allows you to make your creations faster by using two rows of Miyuki beads at a time. Although this method is effective, it makes the weaves less flexible than classic Peyote, and it's crucial to follow the diagrams carefully to avoid color errors. To help you master this technique, we've provided three patterns for you to try out.
How to weave Fast Peyote?
Here's a tip that will help you weave your Peyote weave much faster. This technique works for both the odd Peyote as shown in this video and the even Peyote weave. This tip is designed for beadmakers who have already woven with theclassicPeyote Pair and Impairstitches.
The principle of this technique is to thread two rows of Miyuki beads at a time, as you would at the beginning of a Peyote weave, then embed the beads of a single row in the previous row.
Be careful, however, to read the diagrams carefully, because if you get the bead color wrong, going back is much more complicated, if not impossible.
Another difference with classic Peyote weaving is that Fast Peyote weaves are much less supple and fluid.
