Are you familiar with bead netting? It's a very old technique of bead weaving, already used in Antiquity. To help you learn this technique, we've put together a video explaining schematically how to make a fishnet weave or the bead netting technique.
What we love? Its stitch forms openwork lozenges that look great on our necks and handles! We recommend playing with the color tones of your Miyuki Delicas 11/0 beads to add your own DIY touch.
A little tip for a successful project? Make sure you don't over-tighten the thread to create an even weave.
We'd like to thank Miyuki for sharing this video with us. Please note that the video is subtitled in Japanese, but the diagrams used are self-explanatory. For more tips and tricks on bead weaving, check out our Learn Bead Weaving toolbox, where you'll find all our technical sheets!
If you've got a hankering to get creative, stringing beads and making super-cute creations, but you're short of inspiration: don't panic! Our bead weaving tutorials are just a click away!
