Do you know the Frivolité technique?
It's a needlepoint lace.
Making Double Stitch
This two-part stitch is the only stitch in frivolité.
To begin, cut a length of Lizbeth thread.
Pass the thread through the needle, leaving a length of about 20 cm beyond the eye of the needle.
Hold the needle in your right hand and the thread in your left, as shown below.

Wrap the thread around your finger as shown below.

Pass the needle under your finger as shown below.

Hold the stitch on the needle with your index finger.
The first double-stitch step is complete!
Let's move on to the second step
Place the thread under or behind your finger (counter-clockwise around the finger).

Bend your index finger. Slide the needle towards the tip of your nail.
Pull the thread towards the needle to the other stitch and tighten them together.

Step 2 of the double stitch is complete.
This is the only frivolous stitch. When making a double stitch, slide each step against the other stitches already made.

Make a loop.
Make four more double stitches on the needle for a total of 5 double stitches.
Repeat double-stitch step 1.
Stop the thread about 1 cm from the last double stitch. Use your right index finger to block the thread.
Repeat step 2 of the double stitch and slide it over the first stitch.
Note: Leave a space between the double stitches. The space forms the loop.

Drag the double stitch over all the other stitches.
There are now 5 double stitches, 1 loop, and 1 double stitch on the needle.

To make a ring :
Place the eye of the needle vertically downwards.
Gently slide the stitches
Hold the needle with your right fingers. Place the thumb and forefinger of your left hand over the stitches. Slide the stitches towards the needle hole.
Gently slide the stitches out of the needle. Do not let go of the stitches.

Continue to slide the double stitches over the thread.

Continue pulling, placing your finger at the end of the work to form a loop with the thread.
Be careful to pull the thread through the eye of the needle.
Pass the end of the thread through the loop and tie a knot.

The ring is now closed. The more the thread is pulled, the smaller the ring will be.
