This DIY tutorial shows you how to make a necklace as vibrant as it is original, combining: hippie chic-style braided fabric strips, a selection of ethnic-inspired 925 Sterling Silver charms (totem bird, cactus, protective hand..) , and a superb amethyst stone cut in the shape of a palm tree, the centerpiece of the necklace.

Put on your pliers, let your style do the talking, and create your own braided necklace in natural stone and 925 Sterling Silver: a summermust-have, to be worn all year round!
Start by dividing your chain into two equal parts: 10 cm on one side, 10 cm on the other. Next, prepare your ribbon by cutting a strip of fabric from a bandana. To do this, cut in the direction of the straight thread.You'll see that the technique is simple and explained in a bandana video. Once your bandana strip is ready, all you have to do is fold the silk ribbon in half.
Add an open ring (11.5x1 mm) at the end of the chain. Pass both the silk ribbon and the bandana band through the large ring.
Gather the three strands, then slide them together through the loop to hold them securely in place .
Finish by wrapping silver wire around the base for a pretty finish.
Start braiding the silk ribbon and the bandana strip together, making sure to tighten the strands. Then slide on the charms as you go, placing them where you like to personalize your necklace to your taste.
Once you've finished braiding, thread the ribbons through the large ring.
As on the other side, gently wrap a thin silver wire around it. Trim excess ribbon with scissors.
After adding a ring to each remaining charm, gentlyinsert them into the braid, positioning them between the strands for a harmonious finish.
Add a clasp and your necklace is complete.
