To recut the chain, use memory wire pliers, as stainless steel is very hard to cut. However, you don't need to recut it as the chain is 50 cm long. This is a classic length for a necklace.

When choosing charms for your necklace, it's important to pay attention to the proportions and visual harmony of the necklace. A thin chain highlights small, delicate charms, while a thicker chain supports larger charms without appearing overloaded. The length of the chain also plays a role: a choker with small pendants creates a discreet, refined effect, while a longer necklace can accommodate larger or accumulating charms.
For this tutorial, I'm proposing a slender charms necklace with small charms on a spring theme. I've chosen flower charms, a rainbow charm, cherries and a Pug dog charm to add a humorous touch to the necklace. These spring charms are adorable! They're sure to please young and old alike. These charms are between 7.5 mm and 12 mm high. So they're all roughly the same size. When making a charms necklace with very small charms, it's best to use charms of roughly the same size. On the other hand, if you're making a necklace with very large charms or pendants and a thick chain, you can take charms of slightly more varied sizes.
Tip: to get an idea of the size of a pendant or charm on the site, nothing beats a ruler or calliper and making a sketch. That way, you can see if the sizes of the charms will create a harmonious piece of jewelry.
All the charms and primers on this necklace are made of gold-plated stainless steel. It's an oxidation-resistant material, perfect for a necklace!
Originally, this tutorial was intended to be a cute, understated piece of bag jewelry, but it turns out I've adopted it as a necklace! If you'd like to turn it into a decorative bag chain for small handbags, simply replace the clasp with snap hooks. You can also add a key ring.

Fold the chain in half to locate the center link. Add the orange flower to the center with an open ring. Open the ring by rotating the two ends with two jewelry clips. Close it by twisting the ends again. Turn back and forth at the end to reposition the ends.

The charms are one link apart. Place 3 on either side of the first charm. Try to place them on the same side of the link so that they hang on the right side.
Add a lobster clasp on one side of the chain with an open ring, and put an open ring on the other side of the chain.
