
Cut 30 cm of wire. Thread a crush bead. Thread the wire through the wire guard. Pass the wire guard through the clasp ring. Pass the wire back through the crush bead and allow the wire end to protrude by 2 or 3 cm. Flatten the bead with crush pliers, then fold the bead in half. Check that everything is secure by pulling on the wire.
If you don't want to use crush pliers and prefer to use flat pliers, then you can buy crush bead covers to hide the crushed bead. In our example, the bead folded in half is hidden in the transparent bead, but if it's simply flattened and not folded in half, it won't fit through the hole.
