How to make a circular peyote miyuki ring?

Discover the steps involved in creating rings using Delica Miyuki beads. Delica Miyuki beads are cylindrical seed beads renowned for their quality and uniformity. Thanks to this regularity, you can create weaves with detailed geometric patterns. We're going to create a pink Miyuki ring with a soft, romantic color palette. Of course, you can change the colors to create a jewel that matches your style. Discover other colors in the variation section of the product list, or take inspiration from our Miyuki color palettes in the learn section of the site.

The technique used to weave this ring is circular peyote. The circular version of peyote weaving is woven directly in the round, while the even or odd version is woven in bands. It is used to make rings and bracelets known as Miyuki bangles or closed bands. Miyuki rings can also be made with the classic even or odd peyote weave. The other difference between classic peyote and circular peyote is that the pattern is turned 90°, as the beads are not woven in the same direction. If you wish, we also have several models of odd and even peyote rings for you to choose from:

The diagram is available in three versions so you can weave a ring to suit your finger. Note that the number of beads strung at the start of peyote weaving for bangle is always even. The main pattern is made up of six beads, then you have the option of making a half pattern of four beads and another of two beads. Sizes shown are approximate. Once you've strung strings 1 and 2, test the circle on your finger. It should be loose and not tight at all.

Starting a circular peyote weaving project can seem daunting at first. In fact, we recommend that you start with an odd-numbered, then an odd-numbered piece of peyote weaving jewelry, before embarking on this version, which is a little more complex to understand. Nevertheless, this is an accessible project for learning this technique. Don't hesitate to show us the result!
