How to make a Miyuki pearl ring?

This video tutorial allows you toPeyote Pair weaving through a Miyuki beaded ring project. Peyote Pair weaving is a needle weaving technique that doesn't require the use of a beading loom. It's the ideal technique for weaving rings and bracelets with a minimum of tools: all you need is weaving thread and a weaving needle. Peyote Pair weaving is the easiest version of Peyote weaving, which exists in many variations. Ex: Odd Peyote weaving, double Peyote weaving, circular Peyote weaving and many others. Peyote weaving consists in creating empty spaces by weaving the first three rows in a certain way. Once the first three rows have been created, simply fill these spaces with pearls.

Miyuki Delica beads are the most suitable for this type of weaving, as are Toho Treasure beads. These are cylindrical beads. They are not round like rocailles, although they are part of the rocailles pearl family. Miyuki and Toho are the names of the manufacturers. Delica and Treasure are the names of their cylindrical beads. After the name of these beads, you'll usually see the term 11/0 or 15/0. This indicates the size of the beads, but a Delica 11/0 and a Treasure 11/0 will not have exactly the same dimensions. Most of the time, the pearls used are 11/0. However, some people prefer 10/0s, as they are larger and easier to weave, or 15/0s for smaller, more meticulous work. The larger the number before the /0, the smaller the bead.

We chose 11/0 to weave our panther or leopard miyuki ring. This motif has been very fashionable in recent years, particularly for the autumn-winter season. We also offer the same motif, but with terracotta-red beads that are a little more colorful, to brighten up this cold season or to treat yourself to a pretty ring for this summer. The golden pearls are made with a "duracoat" finish. This is a protective varnish applied by the manufacturer. This term guarantees the pearls' durability over time. The ring structure, meanwhile, is gold filled, also known as laminated gold. This is a layer of gold mechanically applied to a brass or copper base. The gold is thicker than gold-plated, so it wears less quickly, but it's also a little less pure. It may therefore tarnish a little over time, but you can clean your ring with a soft cloth.
