In this new bead weaving tutorial, our creative partner Sophie aka Elyconia, teaches you how to make this beautiful pair of 3D flower earrings. This creation is made using the single (drop 1) and multiple (drop 4) brick stitch technique. Instead of weaving the beads one by one, we weave them four by four. There's nothing complicated about this. In the video, we take you through each step to give you a detailed explanation and teach you how to weave those beautiful curls perfect for summer.
However, knowledge of the brick stitch technique is recommended before embarking on this project, as you'll need to master the tension and dexterity required to hold the object and distribute the petals. It's a project that requires some careful handling. It is advisable to carry out this project with concentration and care.
To make each petal, you can download the petal diagram with the number of rows and rhythm of the brickstich, to guide you. However, I strongly advise you to follow the whole tutorial, and to slow down or pause the video as many times as necessary.
We've created these curls following the color trends of the season as presented by Pantone®:" Sunset Orange" and " Blackcurrant Violet ". But of course, you're free to create and adapt your own color combinations, either in bicolors, or by mixing a larger number of colors on the petals. We have a wide choice of Delica beads on the site, so feel free to make your own selection. For the fastener, we suggest a hammered stainless steel round, but you can of course opt for another version of stainless steel stud earrings.
