How to make a stainless steel collar

You can't miss this trend: heart jewelry has become a must-have in recent times. So that you too can adopt this trend, we offer you a stainless steel t-clasp necklace. This large-mesh necklace is ultra-quick to make, requiring just two steps. As you can see, it's the ideal tutorial for getting started in DIY jewelry making.

For this gold-plated stainless steel necklace, I chose a T clasp, which you can of course replace with another type of clasp: the buoy clasp also goes very well with this type of necklace. The same goes for the pendant. With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I was tempted by the hearts trend, but you can choose another pendant. Birth flowers or astro signs are perfect if you want to personalize your jewelry. You'll also find plenty of choice in our range of stainless steel charms.

This tutorial is part of the 3rd chapter of our Precious Moments collection. Feel free to browse the collection, you'll find plenty of other easy-to-make stainless steel jewelry inspirations.

If you reproduce this stainless steel heart necklace, don't hesitate to tag us on social networks. We love to see what you make!

Tutorial steps

Step 1
Necklace with T clasp and heart pendant : Step 1

Start by choosing the length of chain you want. Here, I've removed 9 links, i.e. about 8 cm.

As the chain is made of stainless steel, it may be a little difficult to open. If you're unfamiliar with this, I suggest you take a look at our data sheet, which explains how to open large stainless steel links.

Then take two open rings to add the clasp to the chain. Here, I've chosen a two-part T-shaped clasp.

Step 2

You can stop there if you like. For my part, I opted for the heart trend by adding a striped heart pendant. To do this, simply take an open ring and add the heart in the same ring as the clasp.

And voilà, your necklace is already finished!

Merci
