Follow this video tutorial to learn how to make fine bracelets with pink gemstone beads. The beads used are rose quartz, tourmaline, tinted agate and rhodochrosite. The material used allows you to create 6 coordinated bracelets to make a pretty stacking of delicate bracelets on the wrist. This jewelry DIY presents several techniques for creating bracelets:
In this step-by-step guide, you'll also discover what kind of wire to use to make bracelets with stone beads. These beads are naturally heavy and can have rough edges inside the hole. It's important to choose a strong, abrasion-resistant wire. Stranded wire is perfect for this: it's made up of several braided metal strands. The more strands there are, the more flexible and solid the wire. The fewer the strands, the stiffer the wire and the more likely it is to wrinkle. For small gemstone beads of around 4 mm, you can use 7-strand fine stranded wire. For 8 mm gemstone beads, you'll need thicker 19-strand or, better still, 49-strand. Also, choose a wire diameter that can pass twice through the pearl hole near the clasp, so you can hide the end of the wire and avoid cutting the wire near the pearl to be crushed, which will weaken the jewel over time.
Another way to extend the life of your wire bracelet is to use crushable pearls and suitable crushable pearl pliers. The wire should easily pass 2 times through the crush bead, but the crush bead shouldn't be too wide either. For example, if your wire is 0.30 mm, the ideal crush pearl will have a hole of around 1 mm. On the other hand, a squeezable bead with a 2 mm hole, for example, will not be suitable, as the appropriate pliers will not squeeze the bead tightly enough onto the wire. Use crush pliers instead of flat pliers, which tend to crush the wire and weaken it. In some cases, however, you may have to use flat pliers, for example for very small crushable beads.
You now have the keys to making your own fine pink gemstone bracelets. Their soft, refined hue will offer a delicate nuance that will sublimate any outfit, whether you opt for a casual look or a more sophisticated allure.
