Fluorescent multi-row bracelet with cowries and pearls

How to make a multi-row bracelet?

With the arrival of summer, colorful bracelets are making a comeback! So what better way to add a touch of sunshine to your outfits than with a fluorescent multi-row bracelet tuto? The bracelet is made up of several rows of fluorescent pink thread, featuring a pretty cowrie shell in the center, a symbol of good luck and protection. The colorful beads will add an extra dose of pep for this summer. Easy to make, just sit by the pool and enjoy a creative moment with friends or family. And to accompany this pretty cauri and pearl bracelet, find all our other colorful jewelry in our new DIY collection: L'escapade.

To make this multi-row bracelet, I used fluorescent pink braided nylon thread. But I invite you to let your creativity run wild and choose the thread color of your choice from our range of braided threads. As for the round beads, we have something for every taste on our site: pastel, colored, fluorescent... you'll be spoilt for choice! To ensure that the bracelet fits snugly around the wrist, I decided to add an extension chain. The nylon threads are therefore cut fairly short. I invite you to check that the thread sizes are right for your wrist, so that the bracelet is neither too small nor too big.

Tutorial steps

Step 1
Fluorescent multi-row bracelet with cowries and pearls : Step 1

To start the bracelet, we'll make the wires one after the other.

For the first wire, cut a length of about 16 cm. Thread a crush bead and crush it about 5 cm from the end of the wire.

Thread a gold bead, then 4 tube beads and repeat the build-up 3 times. Block the beads again with a crush bead.

If you're a beginner and don't know how to use crush beads, take a look at our How to use crush beads datasheet.

Step 2

We'll now move on to the second thread.

To do this, cut another length of wire, about 16 cm long. Thread a crush bead and crush it about 6.5 cm from the end of the thread.

Next, string 5 ochre beads, 2 tube beads, 3 gold beads, then 2 tube beads and 5 ochre beads. Block the beads again with a crush bead.

Step 3

For the third thread, cut a length of approx. 16 cm. Thread a crush bead and crush it approx. 5 cm from the end of the thread.

Next, string 8 tube beads, then a gold bead, then 4 ochre beads, then again 1 gold bead and 8 tube beads. Block the beads again with a crush bead.

Step 4
Fluorescent multi-row bracelet with cowries and pearls : Step 4

Finally, for the fourth thread, cut a further 20 cm of thread, then thread 5 golden beads and the cowrie shell.

To thread the cowrie, I advise you to pass the thread inside the cowrie, twist one end, then pass the thread back inside the cowrie and twist the other end again. This way, it will be secure on both sides. Place your Cauris in the center of the thread.

Again, thread 5 golden beads. Block the beads by threading a crush bead and then flattening it with flat-nose pliers. Do this on both sides.

Cut the thread to length if necessary. Be careful, if you recut, you must recut on both sides to keep the cauri centered.

Step 5

Now you'll need to secure all the wires together. To do this, we'll need a lace clip.

(It's not compulsory, but I'd advise you to put a dot of glue inside the lace clip for ease of use).

Next, take the ends of your 4 wires and attach them to the inside of the lace clip. Then, using flat-nose pliers, fold over one side and then the other.

If you've never used lace pliers before, take a look at our How to use lace pliers datasheet .

Step 6
Fluorescent multi-row bracelet with cowries and pearls : Step 6

Do the same on the other side.

Then take two rings, open them and add one to each end. Then take your clasp and extension chain and add them to each end of your bracelet.

If you don't know how to open a ring, take a look at our How to open a ring datasheet.

Pour le fil avec le cauri, il faut couper 20cm pour obtenir un fil de 16cm un fois le tour de chaque côté du coquillage fait, et le placer à 7cm de l'extrémité pour soit bien centré :)
