Anklet with heishi beads and cowrie shells

What is the meaning of an ankle bracelet?

Discover our new collection of summer jewelry called L'Oasis, of which this ankle jewel is part. A theme synonymous with the burning sun, stretches of hot sand, a place with lush vegetation and conducive to rest ... It is in reference to this idyllic setting that we wanted to present you with golden and colored jewels to enhance your tan, and especially heishi jewels, these star pearls of the summer season.

Nothing too complicated for this anklet tutorial: multicolored Heishi beads for cheerfulness, golden round beads for shine, pompoms for a bohemian spirit and acauri shell for a resolutely vacation effect. All threaded on an elastic wire finished with a surgeon's knot... And there you go, your jewelry is ready! You want a more discreet bracelet? Swap flashy colors for more sober ones like white, pale pink, salmon, light yellow, beige, gray or pastel shades.

What is the significance of the anklet? The anklet is a piece of jewelry that dates back to ancient Egypt. It has many meanings around the world. In Asia and Africa, for example, the anklet is often found on the feet of dancers, but it is also a symbol of social belonging. On the other hand, in the West, it is simply used as an ornament: we wear it especially in summer to enhance our little feet.

Which side to wear an ankle chain on? No rules: it's up to you, even if right-handed women prefer it to the right ankle.
