Discover a new model of pearl bracelet to make yourself and without clasp. This bracelet will fit a large number of wrists, no need to know the wrist size of the person who will wear it. You can also personalize the bracelet with a name or a message thanks to the alphabet beads. These 7mm plastic letter beads come in different styles and colors.
This bracelet is inspired by the Little Hands Bijoux video tutorial here: Message cuff with gemstones and tassels.
Both tutorials use the same memory wire and alphabet beads as well as miyuki 8/0 gold seed beads. You can make both bracelets with just one bag of each reference. You can even make more than two with these quantities! For the rest, the beads are different.
It is composed of polymer clay heishi beads, blue handmade glass beads, Preciosa crystal beads, various gold beads. You can also reuse your leftover beads in this type of bracelet.
Memory wire is a wire that looks like a spring. It is preformed into a bracelet and does not bend easily with a strong pliers. It is also very hard to cut, which is why we recommend using a pair of shears rather than a traditional pair of cutting pliers, which can get damaged. Shears are also suitable for stainless steel wire. The memory wire has a gold coating which, unfortunately, oxidizes easily. As it is entirely covered with pearls, this will not be noticeable except at the loops where the tassels are positioned. To prevent this concern at this level, you can apply a hypoallergenic varnish on the wire of the loops. Otherwise, put small pearls on it even at the level of the loop to hide the wire.
Cut a little more than 3 turns of memory wire with a pair of wire cutters. Form a loop on one of the wire ends with a good round pliers. Make the loop a little bigger than the one in the photo, because you need to be able to put the pom-pom through it.
Put the end of the round pliers through the hole in the tassels to widen it and make it easier to thread them through the loops.
Hang the pompom in the loop and close it. Then thread your beads. Each part starts and ends with a small faceted gold bead.
The first strand starts with a gold faceted bead and then strings 5 dark green heishi beads and 3 turquoise glass beads separated by gold flower rings. Continue until you run out of flower rings.
The second part is a mix of 4mm Preciosa beads, emerald heishi, heart beads and gold seed beads.
The third and last part uses the last beads by alternating them. That is, dark green heishi, turquoise glass beads, preciosa beads, golden seed beads. In the center, on the front, reserve space for your message. Start by stringing the last letter. So here, the R is the first letter strung.
Tighten the beads on the bracelet. Cut off the excess wire, keeping about 15 mm to make the final big loop. Slip the second pompom on before closing it completely.
