Tutorial steps

Step 1
Anklet with fancy chain and Miyuki beads : Step 1

Start by measuring your ankle (or the part you want to wear your jewellery around: necklace, wrist, etc.) and note this measurement. The anklet is made up of different links that will be connected together to a unique clasp with an extension chain that will allow you to adjust the final creation if necessary.

For the first link, start by cutting a length of chain identical to your ankle size. Here, 23 cm. The ease will be given by the extension chain and the rings. For this first link of fancy chain, you will only have to insert open rings in the chain links in order to link them to the clasp at the end of your creation.

Step 2
Anklet with fancy chain and Miyuki beads : Step 2

For the second and third link, cut in your cabled wire with your cutting pliers the measure of your ankle + 10 to 12 cm in order to be able to make a loop of attachment thanks to a pearl to be crushed and a ring. Here, we have taken two wires of 35 cm.

Start by threading your bead or your tube to be crushed on the first wire. Insert your wire into a 5 mm open ring and insert your wire again into your crush bead. Play with your wire so that you leave a small loop just to insert the ring. Crush your crush bead with flat pliers and cover it with a crush bead cover for a cleaner finish.

Step 3
Anklet with fancy chain and Miyuki beads : Step 3

Insert the 8/0 seed beads, alternating the blue Picasso beads and the gold beads, either following the sequence shown in the picture or letting your imagination run wild.

Step 4
Anklet with fancy chain and Miyuki beads : Step 4

Repeat step 2 in the same way, just varying the beads used. Link number 3 is made of Miyuki Delicas 11/0 beads.

Step 5
Anklet with fancy chain and Miyuki beads : Step 5

For the fourth and last link that makes up this anklet is a beaded braid. Take 3 threads of about fifty centimeters. For one of them, split it in two so you can insert the Miyuki drop beads.

Step 6
Anklet with fancy chain and Miyuki beads : Step 6

Thread a certain amount of bead onto the thinnest wire and start braiding the strands together. When the thinnest thread is on the edge of the braid, slip a pearl into the braid. Continue in this way until you have made the same length of braid as the first three links.

Step 7
Anklet with fancy chain and Miyuki beads : Step 7

Plan to braid only the strands (without beads) over a few centimetres at the ends so that you can glue and fold the flat lace clip.

Step 8
Anklet with fancy chain and Miyuki beads : Step 8

Now connect the four strands into an open ring. Insert the strands in the order in which you want them to overlap. Insert the clasp ring on one side and the first link of the extension chain on the other.
