Summer is the time for aperitifs with friends and family. We love to get together over a drink and good food.
To add a touch of color to your tables, we suggest you make Tutti Frutti coasters with polymer clay, in tangy tones, perfect for this season.
For this DIY tutorial, you'll need to make citrus canes => See the "How to make citrus canes in polymer clay" data sheet .
Step 1
Take half a loaf of white clay, and shape it in the dough machine into a wide sheet. Take a template with a diameter larger than a glass (here 10 cm in diameter), and cut out the outline with a blade.
Step 2
Make slices with the 4 canes. By squeezing a cane, you can reduce the diameter to vary the size of the patterns.
Step 3
Place your slices on the white clay.
Step 4
Place parchment paper on top of the polymer clay. Using a rolling pin, flatten the top by making small rotations. Continue until all the relief and joints have disappeared. Bake at 110° for 30 min.
Step 5
Lightly sand the surface with 1000-grit sandpaper in water.
Prepare 2 doses of resin and 1 dose of hardener in a container.
Apply the resin to your coaster and wait 24 hours.
Once the drying time is over, you can use your coasters.
