How to make simple Saint-Petersburg weaving with TOHO Seed beads?
Saint-Petersburg weaving is much simpler than it first appears. It can be used to make beaded bracelets or necklaces, and can be doubled or tripled as many times as you like to make it thicker. In this video, we'll show you how to make single-strand Saint-Petersburg weave. We'll look at how to make a double later, but I'm sure some of you already know how.

It's a classic weaving technique among regular beadworkers. It's used to create "bead chains". There are lots of different variations. The use of different types of beads also makes for a wide variety of weaves. To protect the wire from rubbing and wear, we use wire protectors, here in 925 Sterling Silver, but also available in silver and gold.
The wire used for this creation is Fireline 0.12 mm, which is highly resistant to the tension exerted by the weight of the beads. You can also make a necklace from the same list of materials, but you'll need to adapt the quantity of beads. To give you an idea, for 3 cm of weaving you'll need: 14 true faceted 2 mm, 7 Seed beads Toho 11/0 Milky White, 7 Seed beads 11/0 Toho Turquoise Mat and 14 Seed beads 11/0 Toho Frosted Teal.
As stacking bracelets is in fashion, we've added a mini tutorial on how to make 925 Sterling Silver beaded bracelets. You're free to make them or not. You can also find our ready-made 925 Sterling Silver weekly bracelets if you prefer stiffer wire for your bangles.

The same applies to the 925 Sterling Silver wire used to make the bangles. If you prefer gold, you can use hard 0.7 mm Gold Filled wire or anti-tarnish gold-plated brass.

If you like small beaded bracelets, you'll love this technique, which can also be made with Seed beads: DIY miyuki bead bracelets mini diamonds or daisies.
