How to make a 3D weave in Miyuki Delicas?
Anne Sophie, aka Mon Ptit Doigt m'a DIY, has put together this pretty Plant-Pinou video for you.
Half greasy plant, half bunny rabbit, we've fallen head over heels for her creation (and so have you, many of you have reacted), so here's the tutorial!
See the tutorials of other participants below:
In the video, Anne-Sophie explains the basic method for 3D weaving, with a different color for each row. This way, you can make each leaf with the colors of your choice and weave other projects!
Using this method, here are the elements you'll need to weave the plant:
For the rabbit :
For the rabbit pot, weave a "bracelet" on the loom according to the diagram below.

For assembly :
Step 1: Form the bracelet into a round shape by knotting the wires together.
Step 2: Hook the ears on either side of the face and the legs underneath, sewing them into the bracelet's beads.
Step 3: Gather the leaves in order of size. Sew leaves of the same size together in circles.
Step 4: Overlap in order of size, then sew them together by stitching into the leaves. Be careful to make the thread invisible by stitching between the beads or into the beads.
Et voilà, your plant is ready, and there's no risk of forgetting to water it.
